Medical Radiation Technologist Job at Haliburton Highlands Health Services

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Radiation Technologist is responsible for the function of the Diagnostic Imaging Department including performance of x-rays and related duties and supervision of imaging related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a CAMRT accredited school of Medical Radiation Technology
- Maintain annual registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario (CMRTO)
- Maintain annual registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists / Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (CAMRT/OAMRS) – optional
- Maintain current BCLS certificate
- Two year’s experience in general radiography in a PACS environment
- Computer experience in a windows environment
- Must be able to work independently
- Position involves transporting of patients and pushing/pulling heavy mobile equipment
- Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, and time management skills
In addition, the successful candidate must be available to work day, evening and night shifts, along with weekends and statutory holidays. An ability to attend work on a consistent basis is also a requirement.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $32.24-$44.66 per hour

- On call
- Weekend availability
