What you will do
This position is responsible to analyze and optimize system utilization. The incumbent provides scheduling system advisory support to leaders and partners to develop solutions to complex system challenges. This position facilitates change, advises on best practices for system configuration, and liaises with various stakeholders to achieve optimal results while ensuring compliance with the applicable Collective Agreements and in accordance with the governing Service Partnership Agreement.
What you will bring
- Four (4) year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum 1 year experience system configuration and/or testing;
- Minimum three (3) years of previous experience in computerized staff scheduling in a complex, unionized environment, preferably in healthcare.
- Experience in leading and implementing change;
- In-depth knowledge of scheduling language in the applicable Collective Agreements;
- Knowledge of scheduling systems and scheduling employees in a complex, unionized, 24/7 environment;
- Knowledge of position management and position control;
- Demonstrated organizational skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge of the scheduling system;
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a client-centric approach;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and calmly handle conflict situations;
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and handle significant deadline pressures;
- Ability to articulate difficult, complex concepts to others;
- Demonstrated ability and superior knowledge of computer applications (e.g. ESP, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Word, Excel.
You will stand out with:
- One (1) to two (2) years’ experience with financial or statistical analysis;
- One (1) to two (2) years’ experience with project management;
- Familiar with TOH programs (i.e. knowledge of hospital policies, familiarity with the function, performance and complexity of each department and how they relate/affect one another).
