The Pre-Primary Program Assistant Manager assists the Program Manager in their responsibilities for supporting the effectiveness of the delivery of the Pre-Primary Program (an inclusive, high quality, play based early learning experience for pre-school age children) and any early years programs throughout CCRCE. Reporting to the Pre-Primary Program Manager, the Assistant Manager must be an active collaborator with a variety of key relationships such as the Early Years Branch of the DoEECD, school board staff, school principals, and community partners. The Assistant Manager has a key role in the implementation of policies, procedures, communications, change management and relationship management as it relates to pre-primary programming for CCRCE. A primary focus of work is with school based early childhood educators and other school based staff to support the effective implementation of the program in a positive, collaborative and growth oriented manner. This is a regional position and will require significant travel across the Chignecto-Central region and may require some travel to other areas in the province.
Minimum Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree with a specialization in early childhood development from a recognized post-secondary institute
Minimum Experience
- At least five (5) years of experience working with pre-school children (within an environment with other early childhood educators)
- At least two (2) years of experience working in a leadership and management capacity in a professional environment
Assets:
- Previous leadership and management role in early childhood development is an asset
- Previous experience working within a large complex public sector
