JA Physio is a multidisciplinary clinic offering Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy services in North Whitby. The JA Physio team offers several Physiotherapy specialties including orthopaedic, sport injuries, paediatric physio, cancer rehab and neuro physio. Our team aims to provide optimal patient experience from initial contact to post-discharge for our patients.

We are looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join the JA team!

• Has excellent knowledge and experience of exercise prescription/supervision

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• University education with a Kinesiology degree is an asset
• Direct patient care experience in kinesiology/physiotherapy assistant role

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Implement and execute active exercise program for physio patients as directed by the treating physiotherapist
• Carry out treatment plans and all patient interactions in a professional manner and with excellent customer service
• Listen and address patient response to treatment and concerns
• Accurately document SOAP note after each visit outlining exercises completed including patient’s response
• Work with physiotherapist in creating exercise program to send patients via exercise program software
• Follow clinic procedures on working with assistants and safety protocols
• Assist with administrative and housekeeping tasks as needed
