Tofino Resort + Marina is looking for a Front Office Supervisor, to help our team welcome and guide our guests to the most enjoyable Tofino experience possible.
The Front Desk Supervisor will assist in management of daily Front Desk operations and work with customers and Guests. The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Job Description:
- Supervise the efficient operations of reception including check in/out procedures
- Support team members in handling guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome is achieved
- Ensure that the Rooms Division Manager is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
- Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
- Intimate knowledge of local area and all resort offerings including adventure tours and restaurant menus
- Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Desk Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire Team Members to exceed standards
- Follow and adhere to company brand standards
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships with all team members
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and physical condition of the front desk and office storage areas
Job Requirements:
The Front Desk Supervisor is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Competent level of IT proficiency with experience using various PMS, CRM and payment processing systems
- Must enjoy shift work and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in the hotel industry
- Previous supervisory experience
