The Opportunity
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Executive Vice President, Digital & Business Transformation (EVP) is an integral member of HomeEquity Bank’s (HEB) executive leadership team, accountable for the strategy and delivery of the organization's digital transformation.
The EVP will champion the use of digital technologies and practices to instill a digital mindset throughout the organization, leading cultural changes focused on innovation, agility, and customer centricity, while championing HEB’s core values. The corporate Project Management Office (PMO) will report to this role, and it will chair HEB’s Initiative Management Committee (IMC).

Key Accountabilities
- Develop a clearly defined and compelling digital strategy for the company, leading implementation by working with cross-functional partners to map and transition traditional processes into digital ones.
- Ensure that all relevant digital initiatives are fully integrated into the strategic-planning process for leadership commitment, resource allocation, and execution.
- Drive digital innovation and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization, influencing at every level and imparting digital knowledge and skills in a constructive, empowering, and collaborative way.
- Partner seamlessly with the Information Technology and Customer Experience teams to work with stakeholders across the business and generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models.
- Ensure effective collaboration, knowledge sharing, and digital best practices between partners and colleagues to help embed a robust digital ecosystem.
- Have a keen eye on future initiatives across the realms of digital transformation, developing insights and actions from data and customer experience, among other items.
- Measure ROI on digital projects, adjusting approaches as needed to ensure investment in the right tools and resources.
- Own and centrally monitor the digital innovation project portfolio.
- Build, manage and grow an internal and external digital innovation ecosystem.
- Identify new tools – AI, digital, CRM – that can support, enhance and improve HEB’s solutions.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Digital and PMO teams, ensuring support, resources and tools to successfully deliver on business goals and achieve high performance levels.
- Lead resource planning to meet both short-term resource needs and future requirements; identify the most appropriate mix of developing existing talent versus acquiring external talent.
- Assess and identify employee development needs of the department and, the individual professional development goals of direct reports.
- Provide feedback, assessment and coaching to direct reports, allocating appropriate resources to achieve development goals.

Key Qualifications
- Significant progressive leadership experience, particularly in designing and launching digital platforms and leading successful digital transformation projects.
- Broad corporate strategy experience within retail banking, including retail banking leadership experience.
- Able to interface with, and have the credibility to influence, senior leaders across the organization, including the Board of Directors and the executive management team.
- A thorough understanding of core digital business processes and associated technical solutions.
- Exposure to disruptive technologies, as well as emerging technologies of interest to the organization.
- A thorough understanding of Project Management principles and methodologies.
- Broad understanding of the regulatory environment within a Canadian regulated financial institution, and how it can influence the digital transformation process.
- An innovative, analytical, and disruptive mindset; proactive and forward-thinking.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, to partner with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience managing and growing a large team, including people leaders; able to provide leadership and performance management oversight.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented.
Education
- University degree or equivalent experience; MBA is an asset
