Campus Manager - Private Career College Job at Oxford College of Arts, Business and Technology

Oxford College is seeking to hire a Campus Manager for its Burlington Campus with responsibilities covering a wide variety of duties including working with campus administrators, admissions advisors, instructors and marketing staff to plan recruitment events and student activities and develop marketing and business plans. Our ideal candidate has a talent for multi-tasking, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the campus business operations within the College’s guidelines, policies and practices to achieve its performance objectives.
  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the College and its programs.
  • Provide leadership in all areas of management and program operations.
  • Assure full compliance with regulations and requirements of all accredited programs with respect to their accrediting bodies as well as the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
  • Assure full compliance with regulations and requirements of the administration of the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
  • Monitoring the quality and compliance of campus to the regulatory framework and ensuring risks are mitigated via internal audits and developing/documenting actions to correct any non-compliance.
  • Ensure academic standards are maintained, in particular within the areas of misconduct and student plagiarism.
  • Prepare and provide appropriate information for the annual budget development process.
  • Adhere to the approved operational and capital equipment budgets.
  • Follow appropriate procedures as established by the HR Department for effective recruitment, selection, training, developing, and maintaining a productive workforce.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure adherence by all employees to policies and procedures of the Corporation.
  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety practices are implemented in alignment with government regulations.
  • Ensure a workplace free from discrimination and bullying.
  • Develop and maintain positive community relations.
  • Provide reports to the Corporate Office.
  • Participate in scheduled discussions with the Chief Operating Officer and other corporate officers regarding the management report, student population data, withdrawal data, new start data, account receivable data, financial data, student satisfaction and graduate employment.
  • In collaboration with the Manager of Sales and Marketing assure proper and productive admissions processes and supervision of admissions employees. Assure monthly sales targets are being achieved.
  • Establish regular staff meetings to ensure communication, feedback, and development maintenance of productive work processes.
  • Conduct annual graduation ceremonies.
  • Supervise the delivery of approved educational programs and curriculum.
  • Ensure the fair administration of the College's published policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and quality working and learning environment including the physical facility and grounds.
  • In cooperation with campus leadership, ensure adherence by students to policies and procedures and address student complaints and concerns.
  • Participate in new student orientation, program advisory meetings, student appreciation events etc.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated progressively responsible leadership and supervisory roles in an educational or customer service setting.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of college students and employees.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize workload, analyze problems, and determine solutions.
  • Ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
