The ideal candidate will have solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. Looking for at least three years’ experience, along with a post-secondary education, and solid understanding of all aspects of accounting/finance.

You will be surrounded by a Team that truly values your contribution, reporting to the Controller. You will provide support in many areas of finance and accounting, including the following:

Position Responsibilities - include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage daily operations of accounting area. Scope includes Accounts Payable, Credit / Collections functions, Cash Management and Reconciliation.
• Accurate data entry of supplier invoices, and customer payments daily to maintain accurate, up to date accounting records.
• Reconcile sub ledger to general ledger account balances.
• Post journal entries, on-demand cheques, bank reconciliations, and any other tasks essential to preparing monthly financials.
• Manage the month-end process from reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare various financial statements and reports as required.
• Ensure deadlines are met.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintains confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
• Proven ability to multitask, manage deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a focus on supporting company goals.

Other tasks as assigned by Controller

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Post-secondary Accounting Diploma or Degree.
• 3+ years’ experience in Accounting/Finance.
• Advanced experience in Excel.
• Public accounting knowledge an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
